Our values

01.
Be Social. Reduce Waste.
  • We have created a menu that is heavily focused on reducing food wastage. Our chefs also follow a daily food prep plan which is designed to keep waste to a minimal.
  • Our wine partnership with Sustainable Wine Solutions greatly reduces glass waste as part of their re-bottling programme.
  • All of our takeaway and Deliveroo packaging is as environmentally friendly as we can make it and plastic free. We use plant based stickers, compostable dip pots and salad containers and recyclable bags. We're also big believers in using unbleached cardboard pizza boxes and greaseproof liners to aid recycling when back home.
02.
Be Social. Be Better.
It’s often difficult to always “do the right thing” That’s why we simply strive too just “Be Better”.
  • Being better than we were yesterday, better than last month, better than last year - learning from the outcomes of business practice to implement a better environment for our team, our customers, and our planet. We're young enough as a business to easily flex and adapt to better practices, which makes implementing changes more straightforward for the whole team.
  • We use a state of the art high-temp electric oven which was the first of its kind to be able to cook at 450 degrees. Oven technology has improved in recent years which has allowed our whole restaurant to be fully electric, with no gas or wood burning fuel. Electric is better for the planet... we won't tell the pizza if you don't!
  • Where possible we partner with suppliers that are striving for a better world. Think donations to water aid projects, sustainable brewing and B.Corp groups – that’s where we’re heading.
03.
Be Social. Feed The Hungry.
We started this adventure by using our wheels to feed socially locked up folks in the Covid-19 lockdown. Those wheel also have also help feed the hungriest folks in society.
  • We have previously partnered with various homeless shelters and food banks to help feed the hungry through our Serve Up Slices Sessions.
  • Since we started we’ve been able to provide over 500 pizzas to hungriest in society. Giving a free hot meal from our high-capacity food truck.
  • Members of our team have been given the opportunity to learn more about the impacts on hunger struck families, individuals and those with nowhere to call home. It’s a rewarding experience which highlights some of the greatest challenges right on our doorstep.

Sustainable Wine Solutions (SWS)

  • The Bottle Return scheme brings a new, sustainable lease of life to the traditional wine bottle: each one can be returned, sterilised, and reused at least 30 times, reducing the carbon footprint of each bottle by up to 95%.
  • SWS collects and delivers our wine in recycled plastic crates, saving huge amounts of wasted cardboard and striving to create a robust circular economy.
  • Why doesn’t recycling go far enough? According to RecycleNow, U.K. hospitality alone throws an estimated 129,000 tonnes of glass into landfill every year: SWS offer a practical, convenient way of breaking this one-way wasteful chain whilst still supplying the traditional wine bottle we all love.

Karma Drinks – B.CORP

  • Karma Drinks was founded on purpose. To connect the people that drink our drinks with the people that grow our ingredients and do a whole lot of good for the planet along the way.
  • Education, Governance & Accountability, Health & Wellbeing, Sustainability, Infrastructure, Local Enterprise & Sustainable Livelihoods
  • Anyone who’s ever bought one of our organic and Fairtrade fizzies has enabled The Karma Foundation to accomplish life changing initiatives for the communities of farmers who grow our cola nuts in Sierra Leone. 1% of revenue from every soda supports projects across:
